The Old, the New and the Current

Last weekend had been an interesting time of meeting with friends - the old, the new and the current.

After meeting up with DS on Saturday, I went for a wedding dinner, which was actually a reunion dinner for at least 20-30 of us.

On Sunday, plans were made to meet with BC, a skype friend from Kch whom I've known for almost 4 years, in KL.

It was raining cats and dogs (and most probably elephants and rhinocerous too) when we headed up to KL in the evening. We were going at 40km/p for a certain stretch of the highway. Everyone seemed to be headed north, which was not surprising as the next day was a working day. What was supposed to be a 1 hour drive turned out to be 1 hour and 40 minutes long.

We met at BSC and had dinner at Alexis, a place where they serve really good food. Just looking at the dessert section can make my mouth water.

I had a simple vegetarian olive oil based pasta meal while dear hubby had fish and chips. BC had Vietnamese noodles - less noodles and more vegetables.

After dinner, we gave BC a ride back to Cheras. It was a real challenge as everyone didn't know how to get from BSC to Cheras. I think we made a wrong turning and ended up near BSC after 20 minutes of driving.

To cut a long story short, it took us the same amount of time to get from BSC to Cheras as it was from KL to S'ban. We really didn't mind the long drive, as long as BC got back safely and that we were able to find our way back to the north-south highway.

Needless to say, the entire weekend was tiring, yet very fruitful :)
