Memorial Service - Uncle Raju

We had a memorial service for Uncle Raju last Saturday, just one day after his 1st death anniversary. Friends, relatives and neighbours came to the "farm" for the service.
.
Even after one year, many people had fond memories of uncle. For me, I would always remember him as a godly person. A simple man who lived his days for the Lord.
The service started at 5.30pm .... well, that was when it was supposed to start. Not wanting to break the tradition of starting an event following the Malaysian time, we started at about 5.45pm.
.
The following people were appointed to speak, song lead, emcee, read the Bible, preach, lead in the benediction :-

Clockwise from top left :
Dr Ding - a doctor from Serdang Hospital, also a good friend of Christina, gave an eulogy
Rajen - opening prayer
Christina - emcee
Dason - eulogy
.

Naomi - eulogy
Arud - eulogy
Alex - song leader
George - scripture reading
.
Pastor - message
(forgot his name) - benediction
.

Uncle Raju's grandchildren (excluding Christina, of course) sang a meaningful song which was composed by Joel (the guitarist).
.

The food was catered from Great Raja - first time I'm hearing of them. Food was great!!!
.

The whole service went very smoothly. No hiccups whatsover. Thank God for good weather. By that I mean : no rain, no sun - literally. The weather was cloudy and breezy the whole time. I expected to be hot and sweaty and sticky by the end of the day - but I wasn't.
.
Service ended at about 7pm and after which, dinner was served - err... actually, it was buffet style. The queue was long!
.
Even though many people left at 9pm, we stayed on until 11.45pm.
